There's a Gormenghast dealy from Public TV - my uncle told me about it and I decided to spare myself the rage and heartache.

I understand that Tron 2 is in the works, but I have to confess I cringe at the thought of that.

well, the tron tribesters have been over this, it could suck, royally. but then again, it could be really cool, depending on how they handle it. I just hope they keep the retro look, if they are going to do it.

I'd love to see an transmetropolitan movie. I'd get Terry Gilliam because I know he can make the world of transmet just right. Hell Brazil was damn close to the look of transmet.

There were some good images created by the folks who did Gormenghast for the BBC. It would be better as a picture book with the actors and sets that they filmed. I don't think we're likely to get a good Gormenghast until Clive Barker and Andrew Davies decide they need to do it together.

      poor us.

I think it would have to be animated by paper-cutting artists, a competent oil painter, a little crew of ink-artists, and one or two ether-huffing project managers. Voices by whomever among the rotting old english actor-god-pantheon are still alive. Is Peter O'Toole still alive? John Hurt, obviously. Fuck Patrick Stewart, though; that guy has gotten enough work, already. Tom Baker? Sarah Kestleman, certainly. Jenny Agutter. Hmm. How long do they live, over there? Some Irish and Welsh people could get some work, too - we'll need plenty of low-wage Bright Carvers.....
